Capitalising on Creativity

As Scotland’s centre for teaching and research in the Creative Industries, the ICC offers specialist knowledge of each of the creative industries.

Led by the School of Management, University of St Andrews, the consortium members are Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design, University of Dundee and the School of Computing and Creative Technologies, University of Abertay.

Recently the ICC received a £1.5 million Capacity Building Cluster award from the UK’s Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) to conduct research in the Creative Industries in Scotland. Among other features, the grant provides for 15 CASE studentships during 2009-2013. These collaborative studentships are designed to promote industry-relevant research and enhance social science research in the Creative Industries.
