The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland is a leading institution in the highly competitive conservatoire sector. In autumn 2009, we became the only Higher Education Institution in the UK to teach the three main artistic disciplines of Music, Drama and Dance at this level. 
  
   
Since the inaugural soiree in 1847 as the Glasgow Athenaeum, to the opening of our new campus at Speirs Locks in 2010 as the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, and now as the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, we have grown and flourished thanks to visionary thinkers and supporters.
