As the research arm of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, the Exchange is committed to the development of all modes of research practice including traditional scholarship.
Our research staff regularly contribute to academic journals, organise and attend conferences and publish books on a range of topics within the performing arts. Examples of staff’s current research output include writings on the history and music of the composers Messiaen and Prokofiev, a new history of the trumpet from the Principal Professor John Wallace, and the life and times of Mary Wollstonecraft.
