Coming to Glasgow
Welcome
We are delighted that you are interested in studying at the Royal Conservatoire of
Scotland.
Our Short Courses are a great opportunity to experience learning and
teaching at the Conservatoire and life in Glasgow, whether you hope to study with us on a
full time basis in the future, or want to immerse yourself in a cultural experience.
Each year students from over 45 countries come to study at the Royal
Conservatoire of Scotland on our
undergraduate,
postgraduate and summer school programmes.
As a student at Scotland’s national conservatoire you will be joining a truly vibrant and
multi-cultural environment. You will be studying in a friendly and supportive atmosphere where
students are encouraged to realise their aspirations, develop their skills and explore their
potential.
We understand that arriving in a new country or city to study can be daunting
at first. We hope the information provided in this section will be a good starting point as you
consider coming to Scotland, to Glasgow and to the Conservatoire. You can find out more about
accommodation,
applying for a visa,
English language,
social activties,
Conservatoire merchandise, and
also about
Glasgow and
Scotland.
You can also read the information we provide for our full time students on the
Study Here page of our website. This includes more information than you
will need for a short visit to Scotland, but may be useful as you consider applying for a summer
school visit.
