This short summer course is suitable for young people aged 13 to 14 who are interested in developing skills in classical ballet technique, repertoire and contemporary dance.
 
By the end of the course you should have:

- strengthened your classical ballet technique
- worked with specialists in the field of ballet and experienced a professional approach
- participated in repertoire and contemporary sessions
- had the opportunity to creatively engage with the styles being taught

This intensive course will be led by the BA Modern Ballet teaching team and guest tutors who are specialists in the field of ballet and contemporary. The course is practical, rigorous and aims to prepare young dancers working towards a vocational dance training.

You will have daily classical technique classes with pointework for girls and virtuosity for boys. In addition, you will take master classes in a range of supporting subjects, including contemporary dance, classical repertoire and choreography. The course culminates in a mock audition before a panel which you will prepare for over the six days.

This course is an opportunity to work with our highly trained specialists in our beautiful new dance spaces.
