12-13 October 2014
Price: TBC

Auditioning can be a nerve-wracking experience, particularly for those coming to it for the first time. This demanding two-day course is an introduction to the process of auditioning and aims to build confidence.

With tutors who are knowledgeable about the audition process, you will look closely at your own acting, voice and movement techniques.

This intensive short course in one of the top performing arts scools in UK is designed for young people age 15 to 17 years old who might be interested in working in theatre, film or television.

By the end of the course you should have:

• Developed technical and creative performance skills including voice and movement
• Explored how to successfully select and prepare pieces for audition
• Gained an overview of audition and interview processes and advice on how to cope with audition anxiety
• Worked on contrasting pieces suited to your strengths as a performer

You will examine how to select appropriate pieces that are suited to your strengths as a performer and how to identify original and contrasting material.

Please note: This course ran last year, please find the course outline for 12/13 below for more information.
