Tuition Fee Support

If you would like more information contact - studentfinance@rcs.ac.uk

Scottish and other Non-UK EU Students

If you are an eligible full-time student based in Scotland or if you are a non-UK EU student studying in Scotland and if you are applying at degree level for the first time, then the Student Awards Agency for Scotland (SAAS)  will pay your tuition fees. You should apply to SAAS for payment of tuition fees even if you are not applying for any other means of support.

If you have already received funding for a HND, you will not normally recieve funding for the first year of a degree programme, but you should be eligible for support for subsequent years. Applications can be made online and further details can be found on the SAAS website.

English, Welsh and Northern Irish Students (Rest of UK - RUK)

If you are from England, Wales and Northern Ireland and intend to study in Scotland, you will be eligible for the same funding package that you would benefit from if you attended an institution in your home country.

Eligible students will be able to apply for a Student Loan for fees to cover tuition fee costs. If this applies to you, you will not to have to find the money before you start your programme of study or whilst you are studying, and the fees will be paid directly to the Conservatoire, on your behalf. You will need to repay these loans once you have left the Conservatoire and meet the required income level.

For further advice, you should visit the following websites -

England - www.studentfinance.direct.gov.uk

Wales - www.studentfinancewales.co.uk

Northern Ireland - www.studentfinanceni.co.uk

Futher information regarding fees for RUK students can be found here.

International Students

If you are an international student, you must provide evidence to show that you can support yourself in the UK to have leave to remain in the country to study. Otherwise, you may not be granted a Visa for entry. Further information can be found at the British Council Website www.britishcouncil.org and the UKCISA website www.ukcisa.org.uk.
