International Students
English Language Requirements
If your first language is not English, you will be required to provide evidence
of your language ability before you begin your studies. Specific levels of the International
English Language Testing System (IELTS) or equivalent will be required as detailed
below:

If you are an entrant to the School of Music and fail to meet the above
requirements you will be required to attend a four-week pre-sessional English course
immediately prior to the start of your main course of study (Monday 26th August to Friday
20th September 2013.) Pre-sessional English students need to have secured
an overall IELTS score of 5.5 (with a score of at least 5.5 in each of the four component
areas of reading, writing, speaking and listening) or equivalent. The cost of the
pre-sessional course in 2013/14 will be
