- Application and audition
Applications for the academic year 2017-18 are currently on hold. We hope to be in a position to receive applications in the coming weeks.
Whilst there are no specific entry requirements we will be looking for students who have the appropriate physical ability, determination and potential to pursue a career in professional dance, as well as the commitment necessary to study at a high level over an extended time.
Your application form should detail any relevant qualifications and experience achieved to date. In addition to the application, applicants are also required to audition by attending a dance class (approximately 1 hour).
Students who are successful in the practical audition will then be taken through a series of interview questions about their experience, their potential goals during the programme and their ambitions for further training and a career in the performing arts. Finally, students will be asked to explain how the support offered by the Transitions 20/40 programme would assist with these plans.
Selection of the students to participate in the 2016/17 Transitions 20/40 programme will then be made by a panel. Upon completion of all the auditions applicants will be informed of their status, we anticipate that this will be no later than three weeks after the auditions.
