Shakespeare workshops are offered by Widening Access to the Creative Industries in collaboration with the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland’s MA Classical and Contemporary Text (MACCT) programme. FOCUS West schools will be offered the opportunity to attend a workshop with the Assistant Director followed by a performance by the MACCT students. This opportunity will help participants foster an interest in the play and equip pupils with the skills to discuss Shakespeare.

Titus Andronicus returns home a hero from a brutal 10-year war with the Goths, having devoted her life to serving Rome. However, the city she comes back to has changed beyond her comprehension. When Titus sacrifices a Goth prisoner, eldest son of their queen, Tamora, she sets in motion a terrifying chain of events which will destroy her family, her city and her own sanity.
Only suitable for Higher and Advanced Higher pupils. Please note: This production contains scenes of a graphic violence, including sexual violence, which some may find distressing and feel may not be suitable for children under 14 years of age.
