With the safety and well-being of both our applicants and those within the RCS community being our priority we have decided to suspend all in-person audition activity with immediate effect.
We apologise and understand this may be an inconvenience if you have planned to travel for an audition with us, but we hope you understand why we have taken this decision.
What this means:
- Instead of attending a live audition – whether in Glasgow or elsewhere in the UK – we will be asking all applicants to submit a recorded audition online (performance courses) or complete interviews via Skype. Details on what form this can take and how and where to upload will be provided to you in the next week.
- Your online audition may also be followed up by a Skype or telephone (or equivalent) interview by the relevant academic department. Again we will contact your directly about this.
Completing a recorded audition will not have a negative impact on your admissions outcome. Please be assured that this process has been used successfully by RCS for many years and is already a very popular option of audition for many of our international applicants.
What happens next:
- All applicants impacted by this change will be contacted directly with further information as soon as we possibly can. You should receive your information by 20 March 2020.
- Please be assured that we will be in touch with you directly if you are impacted by this change and please bear with us as we contact all of our applicants personally.
We appreciate that this change may feel disappointing but your audition is important to us we are committed to making this process and experience as positive an experience as we can for you.
