P J Harris Director

Transport yourself to Ancient Greece as our Opera students present Mozart’s ravishing opera seria, Idomeneo.

During a shipwreck in the aftermath of the Trojan war, the King of Crete vows to Neptune, god of the sea, to spare his life if he sacrifices the first person he comes across. But that turns out to be the King’s own child, Idamante…

John Butt, director of the Dunedin Consort, conducts a production by PJ Harris who scored a hit with last year’s RCS staging of L’Étoile.

Sung in Italian with English surtitles.
