PLUG is a launch pad for new experiments and exciting ideas bouncing around RCS. In this concert our award-winning Accordion department comes together to perform new works by student composers, developed and workshoped throughout the year.
Directed by alumnus Neil Sutcliffe, this collaboration first ran in PLUG 2022, with the accordion and composition departments coming together to explore and celebrate the instrument’s techniques, tones, and textures. This year the project returns with mixed ensembles, exploring the accordion’s role in chamber music alongside strings and guitar.
