Rosin Chamber Concert with Resol String Quartet and Elmore String Quartet

We are delighted to announce that on Sunday 22 May 2022, the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, supported by the family of Hilary Rosin, will present two award-winning string quartets, Resol String Quartet and Elmore String Quartet, joining forces for a morning of the magic of Mendelssohn.

Graduate ensemble Resol String Quartet will perform Mendelssohn’s String Quartet in F Minor, Op. 80, dating from the closing months of Mendelssohn’s life.

Following that, Resol String Quartet will join forces with Manchester’s Elmore String Octet for Mendelssohn’s virtuosic String Quartet in E-Flat Major, Op.20, impressively written between the composer’s fifteenth and sixteenth birthday.

This hour-long Sunday performance from two of the UK’s most exciting young string quartets will be sure to start your Sunday with a spring in your step!
