Join us for the final symphony orchestra of the year with some symphonic Russian favourites inspired by art, dance and film. Alpesh Chauhan returns to work with our students to present, Rachmaninoff's last work, Symphonic Dances, alongside his haunting symphonic poem, The Isle of the Dead.
Our Leverhulme Conducting Fellow, June-Sung Park will lead the orchestra in Prokofiev’s Lietenant Kijé Suite, originally written for the big screen.

Bourgeois Trombone Concerto
Please join us for a bonus performance before the Symphony Orchestra concert on Friday 27 April. Brass student, Lewis Bettles, plays the first movement of Bourgeois’ Trombone Concerto conducted by student conductor, Paul McCusker. A Q&A with Lewis will follow the concerto. This performance was originally planned to be part of the Symphony Orchestra: Concerto Concert on Thursday 1 March which was postponed due to the snow.
