By William Shakespeare Eve Jamieson Director Masters Acting students on the Classical and Contemporary Text course present one of Shakespeare’s favourites. Set in Illyria a shipwrecked Viola arrives on its shores and disguises herself as a boy, Cesario, entering the service of Duke Orsino with whom she falls in love. Orsino is in love with Olivia as is Sir Toby’s drinking companion, Andrew Aguecheek and her manservant, Malvolio. Olivia is in love with no-one until she meets Cesario, “How now? Even so quickly may one catch the plague?” Twelfth Night is a delightful and yet sometimes dark romantic comedy about fickle, excessive, irrational, and mad love. All performances will include BSL performers as actors and storytellers throughout.
