Learning for Sustainability is a key feature of Scotland’s Curriculum. Through its presence in the curriculum, all learners are entitled to engage with the practices of sustainability. Likewise, through the Professional Standards, all teachers are expected to embody and enact Learning for Sustainability in their practice.

In a rapidly changing world, Learning for Sustainability allows for exploring a wide range of challenges that can shape our future locally, nationally and globally. The Creative Collaborations for Sustainability conference aims to explore some of these challenges surrounding Learning for Sustainability in, about and through the arts, investigating through a variety of discipline-specific and interdisciplinary workshops how people and communities value and engage with the natural environment. Creative Collaborations for Sustainability seeks to support teachers and practitioners in developing confidence to use arts approaches in their practice around Learning for Sustainability.

This conference in held in partnership with Creative Scotland and Education Scotland.
