Dance Open Day

Kerry Livingstone, Head of Modern Ballet and Head of Scottish Ballet Associate Programme, welcomes you and lets you know what to expect at today’s Dance Open Day.

” I was offered so many opportunities through Scottish Ballet such as their Youth Exchange Project, where I travelled to Singapore and New York performing.”

– Ewan Hambleton, 2018 Graduate

A Campus Built for Performance

Explore the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in our 360 virtual tour. You’ll be able to see our ballet studios, rehearsal and practice rooms, professional performance venues and more.

Train with Professionals

Guest artists often come in to RCS to teach repertoire, deliver workshops and talk about life as a dancer.

Guest teachers/choreographers include Glauco Di Lieto (repertoire and pas de deux), John McFall and Bethany Kingsley-Garner (ballet and choreographer), Aya Kobayashi (contemporary) and Sophie Martin (repertoire and ballet).

Read our blog post on when Paul Liburd MBE, world-respected dancer and choreographer, visited our students.

You will have regular contact with Scottish Ballet artistic staff and dancers, including Christopher Hampson (Artistic Director and Chief Executive), as well as the opportunity to attend Company Class and perform on stage with the company.

We want you to enjoy the audition process and use the opportunity to discover more about RCS and to see if it is the right place for you.

Watch as Head of Modern Ballet, Kerry Livingstone explains the audition process.
