There is also the opportunity to join the company on tour, and recently students have performed in Scottish Ballet productions of Starstruck, The Snow Queen, Cinderella, Wee Hansel & Gretel and the Stravinsky season, which saw them take to the stage at the Royal Opera House in London’s Covent Garden.

Guest artists often come in to RCS to teach repertoire, deliver workshops and talk about life as a dancer.
Guest teachers/choreographers include Glauco Di Lieto (repertoire and pas de deux), John McFall and Bethany Kingsley-Garner (ballet and choreographer), Aya Kobayashi (contemporary) and Sophie Martin (repertoire and ballet).

In response to the extraordinary circumstances of the past year, the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, in partnership with Scottish Ballet, is offering a one-year postgraduate qualification to dance graduates who wish to further develop their training and ‘bridge the gap’ to the profession.

The MMus Piano for Dance programme, delivered in partnership with Scottish Ballet, offers a unique mix of professional tutelage and practical application, aimed at supporting the needs of each individual piano student. Dancers benefit from live musicians as it helps them develop their musicality and artistry.
