Funding
Funding from the Scottish Funding Council allows eligible Transitions students up to 150 hours of high-quality specialist training, depending on their age, stage and other learning commitments.
Successful applicants can also apply for pastoral support and additional financial support for students towards costs they might incur while part of Transitions. This could include a contribution towards equipment and travel or the cost of an undergraduate audition.
Continuing into Higher Education
There are many sources of financial support for students, or those thinking about studying at conservatoire or university level.
The Student Awards Agency for Scotland (SAAS)is an agency of the Scottish Government who give financial support to any eligible full and part-time undergraduate or postgraduate student who is doing a course of higher education in the UK.
They also award support for Disabled Student Allowance, the NHS Bursary Scheme and the Part-time Fee Grant. Their website provides information on all types of student funding available and allows you to apply for your financial support. You can find out more about external sources of funding here.
Throughout your time as a Transitions student, we will invite representatives from SAAS to attend information events where you will be able to ask questions and find out more.
