Transitions Route? Drama

Route specialism? Acting

What made you apply for Transitions? I thought Transitions would be a great opportunity for me to expand on my experiences and help me gain more skills and qualities.

The best thing about acting is…? You can explore and have fun creating so many different roles, characters and situations. You also get to experience different views on life and how different cultures and countries are.

Whathave youbeen learning about recently? Realistic acting and how you don’t need to have robotic movement on stage. You want it to look as realistic as possible andI am exploring this throughChekhov’swork. I have also been learning how to position your tongue to create different accents and sound. I recently attended a actors voice class where I was taught how to project my voice through the Nadine George technique.

Greatest achievement so far? Getting into the Transitions initiative in the first place, as it was my first ever audition and I have never done acting classes outside of school before now.

In 10 years time I will be hopefully be…? On a stage, in front of a camera, or teaching drama to younger kids in hope to inspire them -just like my teachers have with me.

My role model is…? My drama teacher Miss MacDonald. In third year I was shy and didn’t think I could get up in front of an audience and perform but she taught me everything I know and really helped me to get over my fear. Shehelped me to love drama aand by the end of our higher drama class I realised I didn’t want to ever not do drama again. I completely changed my course in career and I want to inspire someone when I’m older just as she did with me.

If I had to eat only one thing for the rest of my life I would eat…?Pizza.

If you could be an animal…? I would definitely be a penguin because they are my favourite animal

Favourite…

…book? Hunger Games.

…musician/band? I’ll give anything a go -I’m not closed minded to music.

…album or song? I’m really into Catfish and the Bottlemen at the moment.

…film or TV programme? There’s a lot to choose from, but I really like the TV shows Scorpion and The Vampire Diaries.

Currently I am listening to/watching… Stranger Things and Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
