Can I apply for the Transitions Drama programme?
To apply for the programme you must be aged 16 years or over (15+ for Musical Theatre). Whilst there are no specific entry requirements we will be looking for students who can demonstrate their experience, ability and potential, as well as the commitment and determination necessary to study at a high level.
All eligible applicants will be invited to attend an audition.
- What to expect at the audition
The audition will consist of a short group workshop with other applicants, followed by a suitable solo performance for your chosen specialism in Acting, Contemporary Performance or Musical Theatre (maximum of 2 minutes).
You will then be taken through a series of interview questions, which will ask you about your experience, potential goals during the first year of the programme and your ambitions for further training or a career in the performing arts.
Finally, students will be asked to explain how the support offered by the Transitions programme would assist their plans.
Selection of the students for the Transitions programme will then be made by the panel upon completion of all the auditions and students will be informed of their acceptance/refusal no later than three weeks after their audition.
