Join the RCS and Beccy Goldberg for practical sessions on strategies she has devised for tackling all aspects of performance anxiety.

Many musicians use Beccy’s techniques, based on those used by elite athletes and footballers. Participants will gain an understanding of their reaction to pressure and work on a range of easy to use techniques.

  • Professional and amateur musicians

Course outline

Beccy understands the unique demands of the performing arts, and has witnessed and experienced the destructive nature of performance stress on the body and balance of musicians.

Beccy offers confidential support, and an individualised toolbox of practical techniques for performing under pressure, with overwhelming success rates.

Indicative schedule

Workshops are active and require pen, paper and an open mind. (No instruments required)

Part One

Issues are identified and participants learn simple techniques for handling;

  1. Excess adrenaline
  2. Physical tension
  3. Negative thought processes

Part Two

  1. Advanced sport psychology methods
  2. Additional techniques
  3. Practical, Physical, Psychological preparation
  4. Health and well-being, including alternatives to beta-blockers
