Join this weekly choir exploring a wide range of genres which help improve your singing technique in a fun, friendly and relaxed environment.

With the many benefits of choir singing increasingly being documented we are delighted to introduce our new weekly choir for young people at the RCS.

Running throughout the academic year, September to June, will allow this choir to explore a range of genres, styles and vocal development. In this choir you will develop your singing technique, improve your breathing and have the opportunity to forge new friendships.

Financial support



Agnes Allan Bursary

Agnes Allan was a teacher, passionate about inclusion, and this bursary scheme exists to offer support to students to participate in the performing or production arts.

The Agnes Allan Bursary provides some support to students who may require financial assistance to take part in a short course in dance, drama, music, production or screen.

Anyone who wishes to take part in our Lifelong Learning courses and faces a financial barrier can apply for bursary support to help meet the cost of tuition fees.

Entry requirements

There are no entry requirements for this open access course. Young people do not need to have any prior experience of singing.

Participants should come to the course expecting to attend regularly, work hard, be challenged and have lots of fun working with other young people of the same age.

Preparing for your course

No previous singing experience is required for these classes but enthusiasm and energy is essential.

Students should dress in comfortable clothing and bring water in a bottle to drink during the class.

We request that no valuable belongings are brought to the classes and mobile phones are switched off except during breaks.

Term dates and tuition fees

Tuition fee for whole year is £540, which can be paid in instalments.

Term 1: 5 September –12 December 2017 (excluding 17 October)

Term 2: 9 January – 20 March 2018 (excluding 6 February)

Term 3: 24 April – 19 June 2018 (excluding 22 May)
