We warmly invite you to join in an online Creative Conversation, hosted by the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, on Wednesday 25 August 2021 from 6pm to 7pm.

While we may not be able to meet in person as we usually would during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, we still wish to provide opportunities for alumni to meet and collaborate. This is the first in a series of engagement events aiming to build networks across the wider RCS alumni community.

Our panel of alumni are all creatives, business owners and entrepreneurs. Learn how they got their start, how they have been working collaboratively throughout the industry since graduation and how they have created innovative new business strategies since lockdown.

Our panel will include:

Scott Gilmour and Claire McKenzie of Noisemaker

Noisemaker is the award winning partnership of writer/actor Scott and composer/musical director Claire. Both graduates of the RCS (Scott on the BA Musical Theatre programme, Claire as a composer firstly on the BMus Composition followed by an MA in Musical Direction), the pair began collaborating in 2012. Since then, Noisemaker have worked across the globe, encouraging collaboration between countries and artists to find new and compelling ways of telling stories and exploring how music and song may be used in theatre.

Isaac Savage and Jonathan O’Neil of Make Your Own Musicals

Jonathan and Isaac are graduates of the class of 2020 Musical Theatre department. During lockdown, they started a company that creates activity packs for children and young people across the United Kingdom to allow them to make their own musicals at home.

This panel of alumni will be hosted by Professor Andrew Panton. Andrew is Artistic Director of Dundee Rep Theatre and former Artistic Director of Musical Theatre at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

We hope you will be able to join us for the start of a series of events that aim to create a collaborative and innovative network of alumni.

If you would like to join us for this Zoom webinar, please confirm your attendance at alumni@rcs.ac.uk.
