Bio:

Norwegian bass-baritone Aleksander Myrling studies at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland with Professor Stephen Robertson and is a grateful recipient of a scholarship from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland Trust. Prior to studying at RCS, Aleksander graduated from the Norwegian Academy of Music in spring 2019.

Work Experience:

His first role was Conte Ceprano (Rigoletto, Verdi) at the Oslo Opera Festival 2017. Mozart roles include Don Alfonso (Così Fan Tutte) and Antonio (Le Nozze di Figaro). In 2018, he sang the roles of Colline (La Bohème, Puccini) in Stavanger with Roma Sinfonietta.

Aleksander’s international debut was in the Alti Concert Hall, Kyoto, Japan, at the Kyoto International Music Students Festival 2019. At RCS Aleksander has sung the role of Tiger Brown (Die Dreigroschenoper, Kurt Weill). In 2021 he will sing the roles of Immigration Officer (Flight, Dove), Golaud (Impressions de Pelléas, Debussy), and Le fauteuil (L’Enfant et les Sortilèges, Ravel). Aleksander sang with The Norwegian Opera Chorus from September-November 2020.
