Bio:

German mezzosoprano Ascelina Klee is studying in her second year on the MMus Opera course under the tutelage of Wilma MacDougall. She is a grateful recipient of a scholarship from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland Trust.

Ascelina recently graduated with a distinction in her Masters of Vocal Performance from the Royal Academy of Music in London and has a Bachelor of Music with First Class Honours in Vocal Performance from the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hamburg.

 

Work Experience:

Operatic roles include: Agathe/Dargelos Les enfants terribles (by Philip Glass, professionally filmed by the RCS, to be released this spring); Ottavia L´incoronazione di Poppea (opera stabile, Hamburger Staatsoper); Rosina Il barbiere di Siviglia, Cenerentola Cenerentola, Nancy Albert Herring, Dorabella Così fan tutte, Charlotte Werther, Kate Owen Wingrave (RCS Opera Scenes); Hermia A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Cherubino Le nozze di Figaro (RAM Opera Scenes); 3. Knave Magic Flute (HFMT Hamburg).
