Cameron Mitchell is a 25 year old English tenor from Carlisle, Cumbria.
He is currently undertaking a Master’s degree at the Alexander Gibson Opera School at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland with Iain Paton as his tutor. He completed his undergraduate degree in 2018 at the Royal Academy of Music under the tutelage of Neil Mackie.
Since studying at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Cameron has performed various roles in scenes such as Lenski from Eugene Onegin. He also was involved in a recording of Britten’s Winter Words in partnership with Grange Park Opera, released January 2021. He has also been able to take part in Masterclasses with professionals such as Nicky Spence, John Graham-Hall and Kim Begley.
During this current 2nd year of study, Cameron has performed the role of Gerard in a filmed production of Philip Glass’ Les Enfants Terrible whilst also working on 2 upcoming coming consecutive operas: Humperdinck’s Hänsel und Gretel in January 2022 and Jonathan Dove’s Flight in March 2022.
