Celeste Fernandes

Bio:

Celeste started her training at the age of 4 at the Lillian McNell School of Ballet before developing her passion at the Linda Lowry School of Ballet, where she completed all her vocational exams.  During this time she auditioned successfully for the Scottish Ballet Junior Associate program followed by the Scottish Ballet Senior Associates.

Celeste has competed in numerous competitions locally as well as travelling to Paris to take part in the Youth American Grand Prix in Paris in 2016 and 2017.  In 2019 she won a scholarship at the British Ballet Grand Prix.

She has participated in many Summer School intensives across Europe including the Dutch National in Amsterdam and the Prague Masterclasses.

During Celeste’s third year at RCS she took part in the Grad Pro competition, competing in the Scottish Regionals. She has also worked with a variety of choreographers including Sophie Laplane and John McFall at RCS and had the chance to take part in numerous performances. Celeste has had an unforgettable time at the Conservatoire and will be extremely saddened to say goodbye to her peers and teachers.

Celeste is excited to be joining the Northern Ballet Professional Graduate Programme to continue her training.
