Scottish Baritone Jonathan Forbes Kennedy is in his second year in the Alexander Gibson Opera School at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
He previously studied on the BMus (Hons) and MMus (Perf) at RCS, and during his undergraduate degree he won the Jean Highgate Scholarship for singing. In 2019/20 he was a Bridging the gap young artist with the Dunedin Consort.
Jonathan is the recipient of a scholarship from the ABRSM and is extremely grateful for their support in his studies.
Operatic roles include: Paul in Les enfants terribles (RCS), Antonio in Le nozze di Figaro (RCS), Il Conte in Le nozze di Figaro (Opera Dei Lumi), The Speaker in The Magic Flute (Waterperry Opera Festival), Eugene Onegin (Fife Opera) and Filiberto in Il Signor Bruschino (Raucous Rossini). He has also sung in the chorus at Grange Park Opera (2018 and 2019) and will do so again this summer.
