Born and raised in Tokyo, Japan, Kazuko started classical ballet training at the age of 7 at the Etude Ballet Academy in Tokyo. She joined a professional training course (S class) at The Tokyo Ballet School when she was 11, where she had opportunities to perform with The Tokyo Ballet company in the World Ballet Festival 2015. While training in Japan, she participated in many domestic competitions and won prizes including 1st prize in 2017, and a 3rd prize in 2019.
In 2019, Kazuko moved to the United Kingdom and studied at Northern Ballet School in Manchester for a year. In 2020, she gained a place on the BA Modern Ballet Programme at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and has worked hard during her training to be a professional dancer.
During her time in Scotland, through RCS, Kazuko has had great time working with many choreographers including Andrew McNicol, John Mcfall and Julian Moss. She has enjoyed the training at RCS and is looking forward to performing in the graduation performance in June.
