Linyue was born in China. After graduating from secondary school at Beijing Dance Academy she went to the Kirov Ballet to study ballet at 17 years old. Linyue participated in YAGP where she was invited to attend the Lincoln Center of New York City for the gala “Star of Tomorrow” to perform her choreography of a contemporary solo. Linyue was also lucky enough to gain a scholarship to study at the Rock School of Dance Education for two years. During this time she achieved first place in both the classical solo and Pas De Deux, and second in contemporary solo in the U.S. YAGP regional finals. In 2019, Linyue joined Joffrey Ballet’s junior company where she danced Who Cares? by George Balanchine with the main company.
Linyue joined the 3rd year of the BA Modern Ballet programme in 2022 and has enjoyed her time at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. She is grateful to the teachers for their patience and consideration, which has made this experience unforgettable.
