Before beginning the BA Modern ballet Course at RCS, Robbie progressed through both the Scottish Ballet associates and RCS Juniors programme. This enabled him to benefit from experiences such as performing in the children’s casts of Scottish Ballets productions ‘The Nutcracker’ and ‘Hansel and Gretel’.
During his time at RCS, he had the opportunity to perform with Scottish Ballet in their productions of ‘The Scandal at Mayerling’ and ‘The Snow Queen’, dancing corps de ballet roles and touring around Scotland. Robbie also took part in the Scottish Ballet youth exchange programme where he was given the chance to travel to New York and work with contemporary dancers and choreographers from ‘Move NYC’. During his third year at RCS, Robbie progressed through to the finals of the Grad Pro competition, dancing and competing alongside other graduates from all over the country. Over the 3 years Robbie was at RCS, he attended various summer intensives including Masterclasses in Prague, and The Royal Ballet Upper School summer course. Robbie is grateful to his teachers and peers at RCS for making his time on the course so enjoyable and fulfilling.
In August, Robbie will be joining the Northern Ballet Professional Graduate Programme, after choosing to further his training before embarking on his professional career. He is looking forward to this and is very excited for this next chapter of his life.
