Originally from England, Sophie grew up in France. She started her dance training at the age of 9 in her local dance school. At the age of 13, she moved to Lyon in order to attend a pre-vocational programme.
In 2016, she successfully auditioned for the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et Danse de Lyon and began vocational training. There she developed her ballet and contemporary technique whilst also taking subjects such as Music Theory, Anatomy, Répertoire, Workshops, Alexander Technique and Acting.
She attended several summer schools over the years notably the Royal Danish Ballet Summer School and Paris Opera Ballet Summer School.
In 2019, she auditioned for the BA Modern Ballet at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and was offered a place. She thrived under the guidance of the RCS lecturers and was able to explore new opportunities such as the Piano & Dance performance and choreographing and dancing in Glassworks (music by Philip Glass).
