Update on the BA Performance in BSL and English programme

Published: 14/05/2021

The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland has taken the decision to postpone the start of the BA Performance in BSL and English programme. It’s our current intention to run the programme next in the academic year 2022-3.

The programme is really important to RCS and we need to make sure that we have the right ensemble of students in order for the training to be at its best for all involved.  The pandemic has made it difficult for everyone and it has made it hard for the programme to reach out in person and support applications and wider engagement.  We are therefore taking this time to look at a number of opportunities for people to ensure when the programme starts everyone is at a level to be able to take full advantage of it.

RCS now has six years of experience of delivery and a lot of learning after the year of the pandemic, and this will all help inform the way we plan future provision. We will be engaging with our stakeholders including our alumni and partners as part of that conversation.
