Cafe

Our two cafe spaces are run by the culinary experts from Where the Monkey Sleeps. They serve affordable, delicious and healthy food as well as excellent coffee. They also cater for events.

Our main cafe bar on the first floor of the Renfrew Street building is a lively creative place, often hosting performances from our students and guests.

In addition, in the Alexander Gibson Opera Studio, you will find another lively student social space. The younger sibling of Where the Monkey Sleeps, the Wee Chimp, serves tea, coffee and cake.

Jack Bruce space

Within the main cafe, we have the Jack Bruce space which is named after our alumnus and one of the founding members of the seminal Rock supergroup, Cream.

The very lively Jack Bruce space is the hub of all social activity at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. It doubles as an informal performance space as well as the place to buy the best bowl of soup in town.
