Join the RCS Board of Governors

Are you passionate about the performing arts? The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland is seeking applications from individuals to join its Board as non-executive Governors, and members of Committees, over the next 12 months.

The Board, responsible for strategic direction and sustainability, wishes to draw on as wide an experience base as possible, including performance and arts management, traditional music, higher education, finance, legal/regulatory, Scottish and/or local government and fundraising.

The Board would particularly welcome interest from those who are, or have recently been, active professionally in the performing arts at a senior level.  Because we aim to achieve a balanced membership in terms of equality and diversity, applications from all sectors of the community are welcome. These challenging and rewarding roles are not remunerated but expenses are paid.

If you are interested in contributing to/sharing in the success of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland by helping to shape its strategic vision as a Governor, more information for applicants is available below and on our Resources for Board Members page.

The closing date is 2 May 2019. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for interview in Glasgow on the afternoons of 17 and 18  June.

Please contact Lindsey Shields, Secretary if you are interested in being considered for Board membership.
