Robert Laidlow

Dr Robert Laidlow is a composer and researcher, whose work is concerned with discovering and developing new forms of musical expression through the relationship between advanced technology, scientific collaboration, and live performance.

Dr Laidlow is a Fellow in Composition at Jesus College, Oxford University, and previously was the PRiSM PhD Researcher in Artificial Intelligence with the BBC Philharmonic.  Recent music includes ‘Silicon’ for orchestra ‘Warp’, and ‘Post-Singularity Songs’ for soprano and electronics. He studied at Cambridge University (BA), the Royal Academy of Music (MMus), and the Royal Northern College of Music (PhD).
