Overview
Join us for our Pre-Junior Spring Dance Intensive 23-24!
This is an opportunity for some of our youngest students to study many different styles of dance. Children will have classes in contemporary dance, classical ballet, jazz dance and musical theatre, working with RCS Junior lecturers and professional guest teachers.
Classes will take place from Wednesday the 3rd of April – Friday the 5th of April.
This course is available to pre-Junior age students only (primary 4 – primary 7). Dancers will study from 10am – 3pm.
Students will have the opportunity to book a block of three full days or to book individual days depending on your availability.
Please note spaces are LIMITED and reserved on a first-come, first-serve basis, so we recommend booking asap to avoid disappointment. We are also pleased to be offering priority booking and a 10% Discount Code on all classes for our Junior Conservatoire students. Please contact juniorsdance@rcs.ac.uk if you are a current Junior Conservatoire student to receive the discount code.

Who is this course for?
Pre-Juniors/Juniors (Primary 4 – Primary 7)
Any young person that has an interest in dance – particularly those interested in future vocational dance training.
Course Outline
Classes will take place in our bespoke dance studios at Wallace Studios.
This course is designed for students who enjoy dance and have a few years dance experience.
The course is taught by RCS staff who work with our Juniors students, with additional expert guest teachers including Bethany Kingsley-Garner and Mark Hindle. Students will benefit from having the opportunity to creatively engage with the different styles taught by these specialists in their field of dance.
The course is practical and aims to create an inspiring, challenging and supporting environment for young dancers to further develop their skills and talents.
Course Preparation and Entry Requirements
Course Preparation
Students should come dressed in their usual dance attire, taking all dance shoes with them. Participants should also bring refillable water bottles a well as lunch/snacks.
Entry Requirements
When booking the course students should state their age, as well as their previous dance experience, so that they can be placed in a learning environment most suited to their knowledge and skillset.
