About Pamella
Pam Dow was a much loved and highly respected member of the Junior Conservatoire Staff (1978-2020). As well as her remarkable career as a performer (Principal Percussionist with the RSNO, 1967-1999), she was also an outstanding educator whose skills as a teacher and mentor impacted the lives of countless young musicians, ranging in age from primary school children to postgraduate students.
Pam’s passion for enabling and developing young talent was unique. We are delighted that this new scholarship will enable us to continue and honour her legacy and help students access world-class education at the Junior Conservatoire of Music.
This new scholarship, which will be awarded annually as part of the Junior Conservatoire bursary process, has been enabled by the generosity of the trustees of Pam’s estate.

In these current times of severe economic hardship, the scholarship will support the recipient(s) to further their musical development by accessing the specialist teaching, training and performance opportunities that are afforded by a place at the Junior Conservatoire (Music).
