Ed Monaghan
Convenor of the Buildings Committee and Member of the Finance and General Purposes Committee
Ed Monaghan is the Non-Executive Director with LAR Projects and Nova Homes and recently retired as the Group Chief Executive of Mactaggart & Mickel Group Ltd, a company he joined as an apprentice at 16 and where he attained 40 plus years of experience which places him in a uniquely strong position within the construction sector.
In 2016 he became a Fellow of the RICS and in 2017 won The Queens Award for Enterprise. In 2020 he was awarded Director of the Year for Family Business by the Institute of Directors and The Herald Family Business Recognition award in 2022. He also sits on the board of Rosemount Lifelong Learning, a third-sector charity based in the North of Glasgow.
