Junior Conservatoire of Drama

I’m the Head of the Department for Junior Conservatoire DDPF. My background is in Dance and Community Arts, and I worked for 15 years at YDance – Scotland’s Youth Dance organisation – before working at RCS.

I am the coordinator for Drama at the Junior Conservatoire. As well as being a theatre-maker who has led Creative Learning departments for a decade, I support staff, current students, and applicants to achieve excellence in their art forms.

I’m the coordinator for dance and also teach the Pre-Junior ballet students. I trained at the Dance School of Scotland, followed by the London Studio Centre and completed my Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Arts Education at the RCS in 2021.

I am the Junior Conservatoire Film and Production Coordinator. I have an exciting career working in film and film education in Australia and here in the United Kingdom. In my role as a coordinator, I can work with a passionate team of professionals to continue to develop film and production programmes and foster dynamic new talent.

I’ve been working with young people at RCS for over 19 years as an administrator. I support young people and their adults with all the administrative aspects of their studies such as registration and finances.

I am one of the part-time administrators for Juniors DDPF. I am a playwright and screenwriter from Glenrothes and I graduated with an MA Dramatic Writing from New York University in 2019. What I love most about this role is the opportunity to directly support young people who are working towards their dreams in the performing arts and helping to ensure that they can make the most out of their time at the Junior Conservatoire.
