Open Days & Admissions Events

The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland hosts a variety of open days, admissions and department events, providing opportunities to get to know what life is like studying at RCS — a place Like Nowhere Else. We also attend a lot of external events across the country, so please come and say hello if you are attending. More information on where to find us is listed below.

Open Days

School of Music Open Days


  • Music Open Day – Undergraduate & Postgraduate. Thursday 16 May 2024, 9.15am – 4.30pm, Renfrew Street Campus.
    • All performance pathways at Undergraduate and Masters level will be covered in this open day.
  • Bachelor of Education – Discovery Event, Monday 20 May 2024, 9.15am – 3.30pm, Renfrew Street Campus

Registration will open approximately one month prior to each event. If you would like to be kept up to date about either of them, please complete the open day information sign-up form. Please note this is not the event registration form, that will be available closer to the event date.

School of Drama, Dance, Production and Film Open Days


  • Production: Friday 11 October 2024, 9.30am – 5pm (approx.), Renfrew Street Campus
  • Film: Monday 21 October 2024, 9.30am – 5pm (approx.), Renfrew Street Campus
  • Ballet: Friday 25 October 2024, 9.30am – 5pm (approx.), Wallace Studios
  • Drama (BA Acting and BA Performance in BSL and English): Monday 28 October 2024, 9.30am – 5pm (approx.), Renfrew Street Campus
  • BA Musical Theatre: Monday 11 November 2024, 9.30am – 5pm (approx.), Renfrew Steet Campus

Admissions Events

Distance Learning Discovery Events

Our distance learning programmes offer a series of free online Discovery Sessions exploring various questions around a variety of central themes. By taking part in these sessions, lead by the course leaders, you’ll experience how these programmes challenge you to reflect on your ideas, believes and professional development priorities. After registering for a session, you will receive confirmation email letting you know how to join the meeting.
