Welcoming students back to campus

Welcoming students back to campus

Published: September 15, 2021

Over the last few months, the departmental and programme teams have been working carefully to develop their activity plans and are looking forward to a year of positive in-person activity on campus as we all enter a new chapter of living and working in a Covid environment.

The safety and well-being of students and staff is, of course, our first priority and RCS is grateful to the detailed, on-going work of RCS’s Health and Safety, Estates, Domestic and Professional Services Teams in creating and sustaining a safe learning and working environment for us all.

This is a team effort in every sense and the overall safety of the RCS community requires every person to be active in it. Taking personal responsibility and adhering to all Covid rules and guidelines within your own area of RCS as well as around campus and those generally in society are going to be more important than ever, if we are to achieve the goals we’ve set for working together as a community. For example, we would strongly encourage everyone to take up the opportunity to be vaccinated when offered. Getting into the rhythm of twice-weekly testing is also another great way to play your part in keeping others around you safe.

Our thanks to our SU President John and his deputies Daniella and Ken for the video below which highlights RCS campus safety features and the key actions we all need to keep taking.
