Amelia Perri

Student Information

Bio:

Amelia Perri was born in Sydney, Australia. She started dancing at the age of four with ballet. A few years after starting ballet, Amelia successfully auditioned for the Australian Ballet School’s interstate training programme. Her involvement in this programme meant that she got to spend six years participating in intensive weeks with the Australian Ballet School. It was also through this programme that Amelia was selected to be a child Kitri in Australian Ballet’s production of Don Quixote.

The opportunity to be involved in a professional production at such a young age solidified Amelia’s love for ballet. At the age of 14, Amelia began full time ballet training at Algeria Dance Studios under the guidance of Hilary Kaplan and Archibald McKenzie. It was their support that lead to a successful audition at RCS in 2022. Despite the challenges that Covid put forward, Amelia was able to make the journey from Australia to Scotland to begin in second year at RCS where she spent the next two years.
