Published: 04/03/2016

On 5 March our Dance Theatre Fusion group will perform a contemporary dance piece as part of the GoDance16 festival at the Theatre Royal. GoDance is now its ninth year of showcasing fresh, dynamic dance styles created by community groups, colleges across Scotland and for the first year, the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

Dance Theatre Fusion is a new addition to the RCS weekly youth curriculum and consists of students ranging from 11 17 years old from ballet and musical theatre backgrounds. The students will be performing on the concluding day of the dance festival, they have been working with tutors Stephen Gaughan and Zoe Halliday to create a striking piece called Flights of Fantasy, which articulates a colourful story of a young girl visiting a circus and the wonderful characters she encounters along the way.

Tickets are on sale to the public and can be purchased here.
