Bridge Week
Bridge Week
Published: 29/01/2016
It’s time for the annual Bridge Week festival an interdisciplinary, cross-conservatoire performance event where students are given free rein of RCS resources and facilities to devise original and creative work.
Every year Bridge Week gets bigger and more inspiring, and the programme for this year does not disappoint. Featured performances include 24 Hour Plays where five writers and five directors create five new plays in 24 hours, My Shadow and Me, a play centring around a best man’s speech and The Cage+, an immersive theatre experience commemorating the collaborative achievements of John Cage and the 20th century contemporary art scene.
Also on all week is Central Park is a new, collaborative performance venue and festival created especially for Bridge Week and Cinescape, an immersive cinema experience.
Bridge Week takes place from 25 February. Most performances are open to students and staff only, with the exception of The Erpingham Camp, My Shadow and Me – The Speech, 24 Hour Plays and Paradise for Arthur. Tickets for these can be collected from members of the individual projects.
