As you will be aware Greater Glasgow and much of Scotland continues to experience extreme and adverse weather conditions, with amber warnings now extended into Friday.

To ensure the continued safety of all within the RCS community, both the Renfrew Street and SLS campus will remain CLOSED tomorrow (Friday) to staff and students with the following extremely limited exceptions:

HENRY V & SPRING AWAKENING REHEARSALS
These will both take place in Speirs Locks studios from 1000-1700.
All students and members of staff involved in this activity and who can travel safely are advised to attend if they judge it is safe to do so.

MODERN BALLET
The visiting choreography workshops for Year Three only will take place in Speirs Locks Studios from 10.00-17.00.
Participating students and members of staff who can travel safely are advised to attend if they feel it is safe do so.

INSTRUMENT COLLECTION
There will be a limited opportunity for students/staff to collect instruments from the Renfrew Street campus ONLY between 1100-1300 tomorrow. The building is only accessible for this purpose and only between these hours.

SATURDAY AND SUNDAY OPENING:
In line with other organisations and to ensure the well-being of young people and parents who access pre-HE provision from across Scotland, all Junior Conservatoire activity has been cancelled for this weekend.

RCS undergraduate and post graduate students wishing to access the building for rehearsal and practice – and can do so safely – can do so Saturday and on Sunday. Opening hours to be advised tomorrow.
Please note that access to support services such as the cafe bar may be limited.

These are exceptional circumstances and your support is very much appreciated. We look forward to resuming normal activities on Monday.
