Scottish Opera have announced their Emerging Artists programme for 2016/17, with recent RCS graduate Hazel McBain (Class of 2015) being selected as the Soprano Emerging Artist.

This highly sought-after programme offers young artists the opportunity to work with the Scottish Opera company to launch their professional careers. Hazel, alongside other young talented artists including a Tenor, Mezzo-soprano, Director and Composer, will spend a year training with the company and honing their professional skills. Previous Emerging Artists include Lisa Milne and Simon Keenlyside.

Hazel will return to RCS in December as part of an Emerging Artist recital we look forward to seeing her return to perform as a professional singer later in the year.
