Anna Pych
MMus Vocal Performance Class of 2026
Bio:
Anna Pych is a Polish soprano currently in her final year of postgraduate studies at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland under the tutelage of Wilma MacDougall.
Recent stage appearances include the world premieres of Edward Jessen’s operatic sonic theatre work Syllable in the role of Kael (TL Opera), as well as Jessen’s monodrama Plantation A… (Grimeborn Opera Festival, Arcola Theatre, Arnolfini Arts Bristol) as A… and Blow’s Venus and Adonis in the role of the Shepherdess (Blackheath Halls Opera). In 2026 she will perform the role of Le Feu, as well as covering Le Rossignol and La Princesse in Ravel’s L’Enfant et les sortilèges (RSNO).
In scenes, she has appeared as Vixen in Janáček’s Cunning Little Vixen, Susanna in Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro, Rosalinde in Strauss’ Die Fledermaus, Gretel in Humperdinck’s Hänsel und Gretel, Despina in Mozart’s Così fan tutte.
Recently, Anna has been awarded 3rd place in A Ramsay Calder Debussy Prize for Voice and Norma Grieg French Song Prize with her duo partner Eléna Esposito. Her studies are generously supported by the Tillett Trust & Colin Keer Trust bursary, the RCS Trust, SPK WB Foundation and Tameside Polish Community Charity.
She has graduated with First Class honours from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London, United Kingdom, where she honed her craft under the tutelage of Sophie Grimmer and Andrew Matthews-Owen. Aside from performing, Anna is a passionate educator and is currently developing resources for singers that make singing Polish repertoire more accessible.
