Aya Nishimura
Aya Nishimura is originally from Kyoto, Japan. She began ballet at the age of 3 at the Yoshiko Inoue Ballet School, where she trained in various dance styles. In 2022, she relocated from Japan to Scotland to pursue a 3-year BA in Modern Ballet at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, where she is set to graduate in early July.
During her time at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (RCS) she has had the opportunity to work with several professional choreographers. She really enjoyed performing in the annual RCS Graduation Performance, Piano and Dance Performance and had the opportunity to perform at the Gleneagles Hotel amongst many other opportunities.
Furthermore, everything she has experienced over the past 3 years has been great fun for her, from the wonderful and talented colleagues on the course to performing with the different departments of the RCS.
As a dancer, she feels a great sense of achievement and joy when she express her emotions and passion for ballet through dance and share them with the audience in these performances. As a dancer, her motto is to dance with passion and emotion, to share her emotions with the audience, so that people can feel the joy and fun in dance.
Finally, she would like to thank her parents for their support and encouragement towards her dream. She also would like to thank all her favorite friends who have made her 3 years at RCS such a wonderful time, and all the stuff who have nurtured her life as a dancer.
